About Clase Azul Ultra Extra Añejo Tequila
All of the ingredients in Clase Azul Anejo tequilas are organic Tequilana Weber Blue agave. Out of almost two hundred agave breeds, this specific species is the only one that can produce tequila. After the agave is collected, Clase Azul spends 72 hours cooking it in vintage brick ovens.
After the cooked piñas are mashed, a certain type of yeast is added. This mixture is left to ferment, and the resulting spirit is then painstakingly double-distilled, twice over, to produce the purest spirit possible. This series of ultra-premium tequilas is sourced from Jalisco, which gives the product a distinct flavor profile.
The ultra-premium extra añejo tequila, Clase Azul Ultra, is the crown jewel of their collection, as its name suggests. Crafted from 9-year-old blue weber agaves and matured for 5 years in Spanish ex-sherry barrels, this sophisticated, velvety, and delectable expression exudes excellence.
The spirit is made in very small amounts and is presented in an opulent hand-painted decanter embellished with three precious metals: 24-carat gold, silver, and platinum.

Tasting Notes
The rich, dark amber tequila begins to smell strongly of sherry, lots of wood, fruit, caramel, and vanilla. It tastes silky and smooth, with a nice hint of sweetness and oak.
